JAMMU, April 23: Stone crusher owners have claimed that ban on mining activities in J&K has caused them a big financial crisis.
In a handout Saleem Chowdhary, leader of Stone Crusher owners has said that over two lakh people linked to the business of stone crushers in one way or the other are facing a threat of losing livelihood.
“Tractor Trolley owners, drivers and helpers of tippers, labourers and others linked with the stone crusher activities are facing a big problem of livelihood due to the ban on mining activities,” he maintained.
Chowdhary urged upon the J&K Lieutenant Governor to remove the ban so that livelihood of about two lakh people associated with stone crushing activities in one way or the other may be saved.
