Stop diesel vehicles on Tarakote route to Cave Shrine: Sena

JAMMU, Dec 27: Shiv Sena Bala Saheb Thackeray has asked Shri Mata Vaishno Devi Shrine Board authorities to stop running diesel vehicles like tractors trolleys on Tarakote route for transporting materials from Katra to Adhkuwari.
In a press conference here today Sena State General Secretary, Manish Sahni said that restoration of Dabri to Bhawan material ropeway should be immediately started to keep the route noise and air pollution free.
“About five months back this ropeway was installed and inaugurated and the project cost was Rs 12 crore. Now it should be pressed into service,” he said.
He also informed that National Green Tribunal had also asked the Shrine Board to use this track only for pedestrian pilgrims and not for diesel vehicles and added that plantation should be done on this route.
Sena Vice President, Yash Pal Khajuria; Harsh Kumar Gupta, Vikas Bakshi, Akshit Talwar, Vickey, Raju Chowdhary, Ashok Singh, R.S Jamwal and others were also present in the press conference.
