Stop exploiting Kashmiris: Bhim Singh

Excelsior Correspondent
JAMMU, Nov 4: National Panthers Party (NPP) chief patron Prof Bhim Singh warned National Conference (NC) leaders to stop exploiting Kashmiris in the name of so-called Kashmir problems.
He said this while releasing a special book on the lives and contributions of late Ghulam Mohammad Shah, former Chief Minister of J&K.
Prof Singh reminded NC leaders that Sheikh Mohammad Abdullah fully backed by all prominent Kashmiri leaders (Mirza Abdul Beg, GM Shah and others) had stood by Indira-Sheikh agreement.
He said that NC leaders who are blackmailing the Central leadership, in fact, are trying to divert the attention of the suppressed Kashmiris’ suffering under authoritarian rule of NC.
Prof Bhim Singh said this in the special session presided over by Khalida Shah, the eldest daughter of late Sheikh Mohammad Abdullah, presently, president of Awami National Conference.
Dr Mustafa Kamaal, secretary general of NC was also present in the meeting.
Prof Singh suggested that a special people Assembly should be convened anywhere in Ladakh, Kashmir or in Jammu by Khalida Shah so that all the existing problems like delimitation, reorganization, corruption could be thoroughly discussed.
He also suggested Dr Mustafa Kamaal to take a neutral role so that he could be more useful for the people of Kashmir.
Later, Prof Bhim Singh also convened a meeting of Kashmir Union of NPSU in Srinagar.
