JAMMU Jan 16: J&K Youth National Conference today criticized the Government over its eviction drive, asking Lt Governor Manoj Sinha to stop harassing general public in the garb of anti-encroachment drives.
Addressing media persons here today, Ajaz Jan, Provincial president Youth National Conference, Jammu termed the recent Govt order directing the Divisional Commissioners and Deputy Commissioners to get all the encroachments on State land removed by the January 31, 2023 as an draconian order just to harass the general public. He said that the present regime is the worst phase of misrule witnessed by the people of Jammu and Kashmir, which has plunged this sensitive region into unprecedented darkness.
The senior NC leader asserted that the proxy Government of BJP in J&K has failed in every front which has worked to drown the people of this sensitive region in an ocean of miseries. He asserted that the present dispensation is pursuing anti-people policies and arbitrarily issuing orders one after the other to further its anti people agenda especially in Jammu and Kashmir.

These people have no source of income except the meager returns from the agricultural activity on the land. He said that the protection and welfare of such people is the prime duty of the Government and as such dislodging such people from the State land would amount to gross injustice to them.
The former Legislator stated that there is uncertainty prevailing in the state and the youth is feeling cheated and betrayed by the policies of BJP. He said that the youth of J&K has feeling cheated due to hollow policies of BJP leadership after repealing of Art 370 from the state.
