JAMMU, Nov 21: People’s Democratic Party (PDP) condemned the Government for allowing parking of Government and private vehicles in the premises of only playground in the old city at Parade, and asserted for taking effective steps to stop illegal parking in the ground.
Holding a press conference at their office at Parade here, Vikram Singh, district vice president, PDP, Jammu, said that it was unfortunate for youths that there is only one playground in the old city and that too was being utilized for parking of Government and private vehicles.
After the Dussehra celebration, cracker sellers were allowed to install their shops in the ground, from which Jammu Municipality generated a lot of fund but not a single penny was spent for the renovation of the ground, as there were a lot of patches in the ground, which created problem for the players.
