Stranded bus catches fire; 4 injured

REASI, Apr 12: Four persons sustained burn injuries when a stranded bus accidently caught fire at Ransoo, the base camp of Shiv Khori shrine, here today.
Reports said that the bus, bearing registration number JK02BP- 8932 caught fire when it was parked at Ransoo after de-boarding the pilgrims, who had gone to pay obeisance at the Shiv Khori shrine.
According to the eyewitness accounts, the bus caught fire when its driver and his associates were cooking food on a stove inside the bus. The fire spread soon and blazes engulfed the entire bus resulting into burn injuries to four persons inside the vehicle. The injured were rushed to PHC Ransoo for treatment and then referred to District Hospital Reasi. Their condition was stated to be stable.
They were identified as Kamal Singh, son of Chain Singh, resident of Meyari (Katra), Romal Singh son of Chatter Singh, resident of Railway Road (Katra), Ram Parkash, son of Dina Nath, resident of Kadmal (Katra) and Mohinder Kumar, son of Babu Ram, resident of Railway Road ( Katra).
The fire was doused by the locals with the help of Police. Carrying pilgrims, the bus had come from Katra.
