‘Stranger Things’ star Charlie Heaton to join ‘X-Men’ spinoff

LOS ANGELES, June 1: Actor Charlie Heaton, who plays brooding outsider Jonathan Bryers on Netflix hit “Stranger Things”, is in talks to join the cast of ‘X-Men’ spinoff “New Mutants”.
If the deal gets finalised, Heaton will play Sam Guthrie, also known as Cannonball, a teen who propels himself into the air and is invulnerable while doing so, according to The Hollywood Reporter.
