Streamline LPG home delivery: DC

SAMBA, Apr 30: Deputy Commissioner, Samba, R.K Verma, today asked the concerned to streamline the process of LPG home delivery to consumers of the district.
Chairing a meeting of officers held to review LPG supply in the district, the DC directed the dealers to setup infrastructure for the purpose in advance and publicize the contact numbers in print media to facilitate the consumers. He said that practice of delivering LPG to the consumers on identified points in various areas should be done away to ensure 100% home delivery by May 31 within Municipal areas of district and July 31 for rural areas. He further instructed the dealers present in the meeting to maintain supply of gas on daily basis and display the stocks and rates at the place of their establishment.
He asked the officers to take all necessary measures in this regard and sensitize LPG dealers accordingly so that they take necessary action in this regard and give due publicity to the schedule of home delivery so that people could be made aware about it. He impressed upon the officers for regular monitoring and reporting on regular basis, beside ensuring that domestic cylinders should not be used by the commercial units.
The meeting among others was attended by ADC – Bikram Singh Jamwal, Tehsildar Samba, Tehsildar Vijaypur, AD, CA&PD Samba, AD Legal Meteorology, Executive Officers of Municipal Committees of District Samba, besides dealers of various gas agencies.
