Street play on voter awareness staged by STG

PATNITOP, Sept 22 : In order to aware the people about their voting rights, a play organized by Sangam Theatre Group (STG) was staged here today.
The play “Aapka Vote Aapka Adhikaar” was organized under SVEEP programme.
On the occasion, Saloni Rai, Deputy Commissioner Udhampur, was the Chief Guest.
The main purpose to stage the play is to create a strong movement ensuring maximum participation of voters in the electoral process.
The street performances were expertly coordinated by District Nodal Officer SVEEP, Dr. Preeti Sharma.
Artists stressed on new voters in the age of 18 years to cast the vote properly in fair and ethical manners. The play depicts rights of the voter and how to elect the right candidate.
Through this play, all the sections of society are prompted not to run away from their ultimate responsibility of voting for the stronger democracy of India.
The Actors who performed the street play included Anmika Devi, Nidhi Singh Thakur, Himanshu Darshan, Raja Aamir Khan, J.R. Sharma, Prashant Khajuria, Anabia Khan, Shakir Abrar, Varsha Kumari and Tanvi Sharma.
The play was written and directed by M. Akram Khan.
