JAMMU, May 20: The Union Territory Government today increased strength of staff in the Government offices from 33 to 50 percent.
An order to this effect was issued today by the General Administration Department in line with the order issued by Ministry of Personnel, Public Grievances and Pensions, Department of Personnel and Training, Government of India, which is headed by Union Minister of State in PMO Dr Jitendra Singh.
“All officers of the level of Under Secretary and above will attend office on all working days,” the GAD order said, adding that the Heads of Departments/Offices will prepare a roster to ensure that 50 percent of officers and staff below the rank of Under Secretary attend office on every alternate day,
“The staff which is not required to attend office on a particular day, will work from home and should be available on telephone and electronic means of communication at all the times,” the order said.
It added that bio-metric attendance will remain suspended until further orders.
