Strike in Pulwama, train services suspended

Srinagar Mar 10: A spontaneous strike was today observed in parts of South Kashmir’s Pulwama district against the killing of two Lashkar-e-Toiba (LeT) militants in an encounter yesterday.
Shops and business establishments were closed in Awantipora, Tral, Kakapora and Lelhar while the movement of transport was skeletal.
Yesterday, two militants of LeT including its top commander, Abu Okasha, who was wanted in Udhampur attack on BSF, were killed in a gun battle with security forces in Wandakpora in Awantipora area of Pulwama district.
The Railways today suspended Banihal-Baramulla train services due to tension in Pulwama area. The train services were also suspended yesterday after the gun battle in Pulwama.
