Excelsior Correspondent

KATHUA, Mar 28: Assuring full support to the people of Hiranagar and Rasana village in particular in their pursuit of struggle for justice, NPP chairman  and former minister Harsh Dev Singh  announced that National Panthers Party shall stand  shoulder to shoulder with the people and endorse the public demand for CBI interrogation into Asifa Bano’s rape and murder case.
Addressing a huge public meeting at village Rasana along with Balwant Singh Mankotia State president  and  Yashpal Kundal  (Ex-MLA), Singh complimented  the people of Rasana for maintaining communal  harmony and peace at the time of crisis. He  praised the local residents for exercising restraint when the divisive forces were playing their dirty games to flare up tensions for their vested interests. He asked the State Government to hand over the case to the CBI for fair and transparent probe so that the perpetrator of the heinous crime was apprehended and booked under the law irrespective of any religion, caste and creed.
He said any further delay in the case would deny the justice to the bereaved family. The demand of CBI investigation into the case was a collective demand of the people of Hiranagar and the people’s voice was a God’s voice. If the unholy alliance do not concede the wish of the people, then it was likely to be doomed, anguished Harsh Dev said.
He lambasted the BJP Ministers for backing off from their promise made to the people early this month to hand over the case to the CBI. He said that Saffron MLAs were acting as mere stooges of Mehbooba Mufti and were dancing to Kashmiri tunes.
Singh castigated the State Government and BJP in particular for not providing compensation to the injured or a job to the NoK of the disabled. He asked the district administration to ponder upon the cases of  Kulwant Singh, son of  Rumal Singh of village Chachwal a SPO who had received bullet injuries in 2012 and was left in lurch without any compensation or regularization of his services. Likewise, his wife Trishla Devi was also shot during the cross border firing and the bullets were still lying in her body but no one paid heed to her miseries.
