RAJOURI, May 19: A teen-aged, student hailing from Mahore area of Reasi drowned in river in Kanthol area of Rajouri today.
The boy was studying in a Madrasa in Rajouri area. Police said at around 10 am on Friday, 4-5 students of Madrasa located at Trimali Kanthol had gone to take bath in the nearby river. Among them Talib Hussain’s son, Mohammad Yusuf drowned in the river while taking a bath.
The companions who went to bath with him tried to save him but could not. After that others reached the Madrasa located about 2 km away from the river and informed the teacher there.
After that teachers and other people reached the spot and after hard work fished out the dead body from the river and with the help of the police.
The body was removed to Kalakote hospital for post mortem. The police has taken cognizance of the matter.
