Student injured, people protest

RAMBAN, Oct 8: A student of a private institute was injured after a vehicle hit him near Chanderkote on Jammu-Srinagar National Highway.
As per reports, a student namely Anurag Manhas (9) was going school when a vehicle hit him near Chanderkote on Jammu-Srinagar National Highway.
The student received injuries and has been hospitalised.
As the news of the accident spreads, the people including the parents and their wards assembled at Chanderkote and held protest.
The residents said they were demanding foot fly over bridge since the four lane work was completed by the concerned construction company and officers assured that the bridge will be constructed for the safe crossing of people and students but the work on the foot fly over bridge has not started till date.
The protesting people were demanding foot fly over bridge so that such accidents can be curbed.
Later, ADC Harbans Lal and DySP Headquarters Ramban Pardeep Sen reached the spot and assured the people of redressing their issue.
On the assurance, the protestors dispersed.
