Srinagar, Sept 12: Scores of students of semester third of Government College for Women staged a protest seeking reduction in the college fees.
The students said that they are not able to pay their college fees due to financial constraints caused due to COVID-19 pandemic.

“Due to our COVID-19 epidemic, our parents have not received a single rupee since March this year. Thus, we can’t pay a huge amount on this occasion,” the students said.
They said that the authorities must come to the rescue of the students who belong to the poorer section of the society and have faced the brunt of effects caused due to the pandemic.
“We demand the authorities help the students belonging to the poorer sections of the society at this time and give us concessions,” the protesting students said.
The students urged higher authorities to look into the matter so that their education is not affected.
