JAMMU, Aug 28: J&K Academy of Art, Culture and Languages, Jammu in association with District Administration Udhampur organised “on-the-spot children music competition” of infant, junior, senior and amateur groups at Happy Model Higher Secondary School, Udhampur, in which more than 150 children from various schools and institutions participated in various categories and displayed their talent.
The event was inaugurated by Pawan Gupta, MLA Udhampur in the presence of Dr Arvinder Singh Amn, Additional Secretary, JKAACL.
In Infant Group (Light/Folk): 3 equal prizes of Rs 750 each were awarded to Manish of Middle School Kooh, Raghav of Primary School, Lower Sangroor and Gyanvi of Primary School, Lower Sangroor.
Infant Group (Classical): 2 equal prizes of Rs 750 each were awarded to Aradhya Sharma of India Kids School and Nimish son of Sanjay Kumar.
In Junior Group (Light/Folk): first prize of Rs 1050 was awarded to Ananya Sharma, D/o Arun Koul and second prize of Rs 825 was shared by Tulsi of BBSV Vidhya Peeth Higher Secondary School and Ahana Verma of Army Public School, Udhampur whereas three consolation prizes of Rs 450 each were awarded to Tarun Kumar of Government Middle School Sujalta, Aisha of Government Middle School Gopa Mandir, Udhampur and Roohani of Happy Model Higher Secondary School, Udhampur.
In Junior Group (Classical): first prize of Rs 1050 and second prize of Rs 825 were awarded to Maanit Sarvasava of Indian Kids School, Udhampur and Vikas Kumar of Government Middle School, Kooh, whereas three consolation prizes of Rs 450 each were awarded to Sanchivi Sharma of Sacred Era Experimental School, Udhampur, Ishita Sharma, D/o Sanjay and Sanjeet of Government City High School, Udhampur.
In Senior Group (Light/Folk): first prize of Rs 1500 and second prize of Rs 1200 were awarded to Shubam Sharma of AOC Higher Secondary School and Purnima of BBVS Peeth, Udhampur whereas three consolation prizes of Rs 600 each were awarded to Divam Dhruv of Happy Model Higher Secondary School, Raghujeet of KV No. 2, Udhampur and Ritika Verma of KV No. 1, Udhampur.
In Senior Group (Classical): first prize of Rs 1500 and second prize of Rs 1200 were awarded to Abhas Sharma of KV No. 1, Udhampur and T Dhruv of APS, Udhampur respectively. Two consolation prizes of Rs 600 each were awarded to Yuvraj Singh and Satish Singh.
In Amateur Group (Light/Folk): first prize of Rs 2100, second prize of Rs 1500 and third prize of Rs 1200 were awarded to Abhita Sharma of Government College for Women, Udhampur, Bandana Kumari of Government College for Women, Udhampur and Ritika Karthol of Government Girls Higher Secondary School Udhampur respectively.
In Amateur Group (Classical): first prize of Rs 2100, second prize of Rs 1500 and third prize of Rs 1200 were awarded to Suraj Dogra of Government Degree College, Udhampur, Vishali Devi of Government Women College, Udhampur and Sonam of Happy Model Higher Secondary School, Udhampur respectively.
In Amateur Group (Instrumental): first prize of Rs 2100, second prize of Rs 1500 and third prize of Rs 1200 were awarded to Reva of Government Women College, Udhampur, Priya of Government College for Women, Udhampur and Rakesh Paul Thapa of Government Degree College , Udhampur respectively.
The adjudicators for this three day long competition were Radha Sharma, Manju Bala, Naveen Punjabi, Kuldeep Raina, Surinder Manhas, Anjana Khajuria, Harish Kaila, Suraj Singh and Anand Khajuria.
