Students launch signature campaign against irregular power cuts

BHADERWAH, Nov 18: The students under the banner of Akhil Bhartiya Vidyarthi Parishad (ABVP) launched signature campaign against Power Development Department (PDD) for irregular power cuts at Government Degree College and Seri Bazaar, here today.
While speaking, Secretary of ABVP GDC Bhaderwah College said, “Currently exams of BA, BSc, BCom, BCA 5th semester are going on, while exams of BA, BSc, BCom, BCA 3rd semester are about to start”.
“Power cuts during peak hours from 6:00 pm to 11:00 pm are a major obstacle for the students to prepare for exams. Irregular power cuts during the mentioned peak hour is not acceptable to students and PDD should ensure regular power supply so that students can prepare for their respective exams”, he added.
Joint Secretary ABVP Bhaderwah City Unit Ankit Kotwal while talking to media persons said that exams of 12th class students are going on and exams of 11th class students are also about to start. “We received numerous complaints from students and their parents regarding the irregular power cuts. We will take up the issue with higher authorities soon for redressal”, he asserted.
