JAMMU, Apr 30: Seven students of National Institute of Fashion Design (NIFD) have brought laurels to the institute by getting selected to help and coordinate the fashion show of famous designers Rocky’s and Shruti Singla for Blender Pride Magical Nights Fashion Extravaganza at Dehradun.
NIFD students got the opportunity to meet Rocky, a star famous designer for Bipasha Basu, Akshay Kumar, John Ibraham, Priyanka Chopra and many more celebrities. Famous actor Valucha Desuza debut in Fan was the showstopper and Shruti Singla was budding designer from Chandigarh.
The famous band Antariksh was also there to entertain the people. It was a dream come true for fashion designing students who experienced how to work at backstage with renowned and trained model and assist the renowned designers.
The students, who attended the show, were Aaina Luthra, Arti Jamwal, Shivani Billoria, Dimple Rajput, Hemanshu Sood, Anjali Dogra and Navjeet Kaur and teacher incharge Mamta Jena also accompanied the students.
The show provided an excellent exposures to the students for being the part of the show at various levels and thus enhancing their practical skills.
Centre head Vanita Thakur lauded the efforts of the students and staff incharge. She assured that in future such events would be held to give further exposure to the students.
