Students pay homage on 79th Foundation Day of Model Academy

JAMMU, Feb 4: Model Academy the Prestigious School of MIER celebrated its 79th Foundation day, today.
To mark this occasion a special assembly was organized. Dr Chitra Mishra, Principal,  Rupa Gupta, management representative, Usha Gadoo, Vice Principal,  Prince Sharma, staff secretary and Apurva Gupta, vice head girl paid homage and warm tributes to  H L Gupta and Shanti Gupta, educational visionaries who nurtured Model Academy from a small school in 1936 to a major educational institution. This was followed by the school song ‘We are Proud Modelites’ which was sung by the choir group of the school. Speaking on the occasion Manju Vali, convener, co curricular committee, and Monika Rajput, member of Einstein House spoke on how the vision of founders is being translated into action by the current management in transforming MIER into a hub of educational excellence, innovation, research and creative talent.
Dr Chitra Mishra Principal congratulated the staff and students on the occasion. Students of higher secondary wing who had won in various sports events during the sports day were honoured  with medals and prizes.
Dr Arun Kumar Gupta Chairman MIER and Dr Renu Gupta, Director MIER, congratulated the staff and students on the occasion. In his message Dr Gupta stressed upon the students to contribute to the society by excelling in all fields and making the institution proud of their achievements.
