Students protest against JKBOSE for poor result of Class 11th

REASI, Aug 1: Agitated over extremely poor result of Class 11th , aggrieved students held a strong protest against Jammu and Kashmir Board of School Education (JKBOSE), here today.
Shouting slogans against the JKBOSE, the protesting students, including girls also, were demanding re-assessment of the result.
The protesting students also met Deputy Commissioner Reasi, Babila Rakwal who took cognizance of the demand and assured to constitute a committee for verifying the poor result.
The agitating students assembled at Reasi Park from where they took out a protest march, which passes through bazar and culminated at Shaheed Chowk near Parade Ground where they went to meet officials of JKBOSE.
The protest was led by ABVP leader Akashdeep Singh, who told the Excelsior that only 20 percent students passed in district headquarter. “Out of 335 appeared students in Govt Boys Higher Secondary School Reasi, only 20 students passed whereas in girls school, out of 295 students , only 31 passed,” he said and demanded reassessment of result.
During the protest demonstration, there was minor clash between the agitating students and two scooty riding locals after the scooty hit one of the protesters. Later on, DSP Reasi, CEO and Tehsildar reached the spot and pacified the protesters.
