RAJOURI, Aug 9: Students from Kotranka area held protest demonstration today and blocked Rajouri-Budhal road at Manore Galla for about an hour.
Reports said that students of Kandi area who study in various colleges and schools in Rajouri, today came out on the road and raised barricades at Manore Galla. They disrupted the movement of traffic on Rajouri-Budhal road for about an hour. The students alleged that there is shortage of public transport on this route and ARTO Rajouri Jugal KIshore failed to provide additional vehicles on this route despite request.
Later, SHO and a Revenue officer from Rajouri reached the spot and they pacified the agitating students . They also spoke to ARTO Rajouri who assured that additional vehicles will be provided within couple of days. Then the boys lifted dharna and allowed movement of vehicles on the road.
