SAMBA, Sept 22: The school and college students today protested at Atkadamadana against the shortage of transport facilities during morning and evening times in Purmandal area.
The protestors who blocked the road at Atkadamadana alleged that they were facing lot of problem in attending the colleges and schools due to lack of transport facilities in time. They demanded that adequate services during the college and school time be provided in the Purmandal area so that the students are relieved of their problems.
The protestors also expressed concern over the dilapidated condition of roads in the area and demanded that they be renovated at an earliest failing which they will intensify agitation.
The protestors also made an appeal to Transport authorities urging them to look into the problem and issue directives to transporters to run extra buses and mini buses in the area especially during the school and college timing.
