RAJOURI, Sept 8: A large number of students besides PRI members, parents and members of civil society held protest and blocked Rajouri- Thannamandi road today.
They were protesting against the arrest of a teacher, claiming that he was indicted in a false case.
Reports said that a teacher namely Mohd Ashrif, was arrested by Police after some female students made allegations of ‘sexual abuse’. Today some students came ouit on the road in support of teacher and held protest in front of school by  blocking road demanding release of teacher. The students told that he is innocent and haven’t done anything which is being narrated from few days. Students mentioned that some  teachers played the role to target him for that they used females students.
Students raised slogans demanding justice for the said teachers. At the same time some parents who were part of protest told that they don’t know about all this happening in the school and they also don’t know who carried students to Rajouri and Thannamandi without their permission.
Sub Divisional Magistrate Thannamandi, Shafiq Ahmed, reached the spot along with Tehsildar Thannamandi Sahil Ali Shah and SHO Thannamandi Hilal Azhar and listened to the grievances of the protesters. SDM assured hat fair and impartial enquiry shall be conducted by police into the matter.
