DODA, Apr 6: Hundreds of students of Government Degree College Khilotran held a protest at Khilotran Gwari against the Government for not completing new college building from last 7 years and shortage of permanent staff.
The protest was held under the banner of All India Students Federation (AISF) led by its Tehsil Incharge Nasir Ahmed.
Nasir Ahmed said that GDC Khilotran is working in two hired rooms of GHSS Khilotran since its inception and College never has seen complete staff.
The students demanded immediate completion of college building vis-à-vis full-fledged staff.
They warned that if their demands are not fulfilled within week’s time, then they will start indefinite strike against the Government.
Mohammad Saleem, Chenab Valley Region President also spoke on the occasion.
Later, SDM Gandoh Dil Mir Choudhary along with SDPO BK Ganjoo reached the spot and assured the protesting students that their demands will be fulfilled shortly.
Among others present were Akram, Yawar, Pooja, Rampershad, Amir Butt, Nemra, Abid, Haroon, Akeel, Shabnum, Nemra, etc.
