UDHAMPUR, Apr 4: Students of Government Primary School, Foungari and local villagers protested demanding repair of the school kitchen shed and washrooms, which are lying completely damaged for the last three years.
The protesting students and villagers raised slogans against the Education Department and Udhampur district administration.
They alleged that despite a written report by incharge Headmaster of the School to concerned ZEO Kulwanta three years ago and repeated reminders, no grant was released to repair the kitchen shed, male and female washrooms and classroom.
Because of no repair, they added, students of P S Foungari had been facing difficulties and they remain deprived of Mid Day meal during the rainy days. There are about 50 students in the school.
Villagers said that they also apprised the Education Department many times about the difficulties being faced by the students because of no repair, but there was no action.
