JAMMU, May 17: Adding another feather to its cap JD Institute of Fashion, Jammu Centre, launched its very own design studio within its campus.
Studio MG was launched today with lots of fanfare at JD Institute campus. The studio would be displaying designer garments by Maansi Gupta, Managing Director, JD Institute and Krishna creations.
Maansi is a well known name in the industry and has been associated with this field for more than 15 years. The studio MG would also provide a platform to the budding designers of JD Institute by displaying their creative designs as well.
The studio would further provide employability to pass out students of JD institute, whereby they would get to start their carrers as assistant designers. In this process, Tanuj Chopra is the first assistant designer to be hired by studio MG. He was an award winner at last year’s fashion show in ADA.
Speaking on the occasion, Maansi Gupta said that Studio MG aims at working on its strengths by utilizing the experience of seniors and a breath of fresh air provided by the young budding designers.
Raman Gupta, chairperson, JD Institute and Krishna Group, Jammu, who was also present on the occasion, said that this studio would have a threefold advantage by firstly giving the people of Jammu a studio run and managed by technically qualified designer profiled people, secondly providing affordable fashion to the people of Jammu and thirdly by providing an amazing platform to the young and budding fashion designers of the State.
