DODA, Nov 27: In an endeavour to reach the underprivileged and meritorious students, police distributed free of cost study material among 150 students of various standards in a function organized at Government Middle School, Bisran Gandoh.
The study material was distributed by Additional SP Bhaderwah Rajinder Singh and SDPO Gandoh Sunny Gupta.
The function was organized under the instructions of Basant Rath, DIG Doda-Kishtwar-Ramban Range and Mohammad Shabir, SSP Doda.
A meeting was also held, which was attended by Jai Bhaskar Headmaster Govern-ment Middle School Bisran, Hare Sarn, Daya Krishan Sapolia, Jaswant Singh, Suchet Ram, Ganesh Kumar, Zakir Hussain, Mohammad Shabir Sheikh and Altaf Hussain Rather.
Various issues being faced by the people of the area were discussed and issues pertaining to police functioning got highlighted. Directions were issued on the spot to Incharge Police Post Changa SI Ram Rattan who was also present in the meeting.
Additional SP Bhaderwah Rajinder Singh urged upon the participants especially youth to join hands with Doda Police to eradicate drug menace from the society.
