Sub Committee constituted for updation of posts for disables

JAMMU, Apr 26: Government today accorded sanction to the constitution of a Sub-Committee to facilitate the updation/revision of the identified posts for persons with disabilities.
According to the order, the Sub-Committee will be comprised of Director Social Welfare Kashmir, Director Social Welfare Jammu, Director Health Services Kashmir, Director Health Services Jammu and Executive Director J&K Rehabilitation Council.
The Sub-Committee will identify the new post(s) or any other existing post(s) suitable for the persons with benchmark disabilities as prescribed in Section 34 of Rights of Persons with Disabilities Act 2016 and J&K Reservation Rules, 2005. While doing so, the Sub-Committee shall also specify the type of benchmark disability for which the identified posts are suitable.
“It will also make recommendation(s) to the Chairperson of Expert Committee constituted vide Government Order Number 1130-JK (GAD) of 2020 dated 17-12-2020,” the order mentioned and added that the senior most Director of Social Welfare Department shall be the convener of the Sub-Committee, which shall meet at regular intervals.
The order stated that the recommendations of the Sub-Committee shall be deliberated in the Expert Committee for further report to the Government.
