SRINAGAR, May 8: Reserve Bank Governor D Subbarao today called on Jammu and Kashmir Governor N N Vohra here and they discussed various issues relating to the rapid socio-economic development of the State.
“During their meeting, Vohra discussed with Subbarao various important issues relating to the rapid socio-economic development of the state, functioning of the banking sector in the state and ways to enhance financial inclusion, particularly in the rural areas,” an official spokesman said here.
He said issues relating to the various banks advancing financial support on viable terms to the entrepreneurs, unemployed youth, artisans, craftsmen and others to set up their own income generating ventures were also discussed. (AGENCIES)
