RAMBAN, Aug 5: A Subedar allegedly committed suicide by jumping into river Chenab from Karool bridge here this morning.
As per police sources, Subedar identified as Hoshyyar Singh of Haryana along with his colleagues was on his way to Srinagar from Jammu. At Karool bridge, Subedar jumped into river Chenab.
After getting information, police team rushed to the spot and divers were pressed in to trace the Army person. The body of the Subedar was not traced out till late night.
Police has taken cognizance in this regard.
