JAMMU, Apr 10: Dr Gaurav Gupta, Maxillofacial Surgeon, performed a successful maxillofacial trauma surgery at Government Hospital Gandhi Nagar, Jammu.
A patient of 35 years age, resident of Jammu, who suffered panfacial trauma (fracture of multiple bones of skull and face ) was operated using submental intubation done by Dr Gaurav Gupta and team.
Anaesthesia was induced by Dr Sangeeta and team with other OT staff for the first time at Government Hospital Gandhi Nagar . Their combined expertise with support of other OT staff namely S Jaswinder Singh, Head OT Tech, Ashwani Wadhera, Head Dental Tech, Rakesh Bakshi, Senior Pharmacist and Anita Atri, Senior staff nurse, averted the immediate risk and a successful surgery was performed with best results .
Dr Gaurav Gupta with his skills employed advanced surgical techniques to replace and repair the facial bones and soft tissue with minimal invasive techniques. Many other successful surgeries are being performed by him and team like tumor of jaw bones and maxillofacial trauma for the best patient care at Government Hospital Gandhi Nagar .
The patient is now recovering at Government Hospital Gandhi Nagar under his supervision.
The successful operation was done under the guidance and supervision of Dr Rakesh Magotra, Director Health Services Jammu; Dr Abdul Hamid Zargar, Medical Superintendent Government Hospital Gandhi Nagar and Dr Balwinder Singh, Deputy Medical Superintendent Government Hospital Gandhi Nagar.
