Successful attempt to Limca Book of Records by CCHM, CGC Landran

JAMMU, May 1: Chandigarh College of Hotel Management (CCHM), CGC Landran today successfully attempted to enter the Limca Book of Records for ‘Most varieties of vol-au-vents prepared – group’ by making 2800+ varieties of vol-au-vents in 2 minutes 37 seconds.
A handout stated that around 300 students under the supervision of their faculty members were instrumental in achieving this unique, record making feat. A total of 38 sauces and 26 sub-ingredients were used in preparing the record-making number of vol-au-vents. The entire batch of the items prepared was later donated to underprivileged people dwelling in Landran, Mohali. The event was sponsored by Amul India and Monin.
The guests who witnessed the record making attempt were celebrity Chef, Vishavdeep Bali; Restaurateur and Director Operations, Imperial Manor, Chef, Jessie Sangha; Owner Wicked Chicken & American Burger Chain, Ludhiana, Chef, Jagmeet Singh; Executive Chef Radisson RED, Mohali, Chef, Rajneesh and Executive Chef, Wyndham Chandigarh Mohali.
These guests were welcomed by Prof. P.N Hrisheekesha, Campus Director CGC Landran, who was accompanied by Dr. Rajeev R Mishra, Director-Principal, CCHM, CGC Landran and faculty members of the institution.
“We are proud of this successful attempt which has almost sealed our spot in the prestigious Limca Book of Records,” said Dr. Mishra.
Other guests who witnessed the event were Bhoomika Kanojia, Learning and Development Manager, Radisson RED, Mohali; Manu Mehndiratta, Learning and Development Manager, Wyndham Chandigarh; Shivan Soni, CGC Alumni & Training Executive, Monin; Karan Kumar, HR Manager and Varun, Training Manager, both from Holiday Inn, Zirakpur.
