JAMMU, Oct 25: Successful conduct of Block Development Council (BDC) elections in the Jammu, Kashmir and Ladakh is a big victory of democracy that has further cemented the way to development of all the three regions.
This was stated by BJP State president, Ravinder Raina, while addressing a press conference along with other senior leaders of the party at BJP Headquarter, Trikuta Nagar, Jammu.

Raina, while addressing the media, said that the successful BDC elections were held in the State of J&K for the very first time with the commitment of Election Commission of India and all other Government agencies as well as due to the strong commitment shown by Prime Minister, Narendra Modi led Centre Government. He vehemently extended his greetings and thanks to all those involved in the total process.
Raina, said that more than 98.3% poll in these elections is a proof of belief that has been posed by the voters of these elections and this has slapped hard on the face of political parties like NC, Congress, PDP and others who opposed these elections by all means. This also proves our commitment for serving all sections of society at all costs and we on all sorts believe on the principle of “Sabka Saath, Sabka Vikaas”.
Raina, congratulated all the elected candidates and also extended gratitude to all those who participated in these elections with full commitment to make this whole exercise a grand success. He said that our brave Sarpanchs and Panchs have stood tall against the threats and boycott calls given by the militants, separatists and we salute their spirit.
Raina slammed NC, Congress, PDP for furthering the Pakistan and anti-national agenda and said that BJP assures Sarpanchs and Panchs, that they will get full support of the party in their confrontation against these enemies of democracy.
He said that these parties exploited the system for more than 70 years and kept the Sarpanchs and Panchs as their slaves. Now the Modi Government has taken the initiative to conduct these elections in the region to give pace to the works of development and BJP assures the elected chairmen that they will get full support of the party in their development responsibilities.
