NEW DELHI, Jan 16: A meeting was organised by Core Committee of Sampooran Kashmir Sangattan (SKS) under chairmanship of Anoop Kaul.
The meeting analysed the 30 years of exodus of Kashmiri Pandit community and expressed that being nationalists they maintained discipline even under stressful life but no Central Government till date could provide justice to the community.
Chairman SKS, Anoop Kaul has slammed Union Government for its failure in settling the long pending demands of the community and restoring their homeland to them. He said it is unfortunate that even Prime Minister or Home Minister are not ready to meet the members of exiled community.
Kaul expressed that Kashmiri Pandits have many times approached the concerned in PMO to arrange their meeting with Prime Minister but the community has been totally ignored. He said even during last six months many requests were sent to Home Minister to give an audience to the community but to no avail.
General secretary, SKS Bharat Kachroo said that Kashmir was peaceful because of Kashmiri Pandits and will also turn to normalcy if Kashmiri Pandits are given a role in this regard and settled in Valley in accordance to their geo-political aspirations. “Our community has been ignored by all governments from last 30 years and still this trend is on,. Kashmiri Pandits are being used as an example in debates and election campaigns by politicians but when it comes to their settlement politicians close their eyes”, he added.
SKS has warned Government that enough is enough if this blot of exodus will not be removed the entire community who left Valley right from 1950 till 1990 will come on roads. SKS appealed entire Hindu Sanghattans of nation to come forward in support of their Hindu brethren who are living like refugees in their own country.
SKS has alarmed that entire community should be given justice in all respects loss of property loss of carrier and loss of trade. It also demanded that the community be resettled in their motherland with honour and dignity by keeping their geo-political aspirations in view.
