Successive Govts, political parties ditched KPs: ADKUF

JAMMU, Nov 13: All Displaced Kashmiri United Forum (ADKUF) today reiterated its appeal to the Kashmiri Pandit community for unity which it said is key to achieve objectives.
The appeal was made in an impressive programme organised by the ADKUF here, today.
The speakers said that half hearted and indifferent attitude of successive governments towards the displaced community reflects amply that the Government and political parties are least concerned about addressing issues of the community which is passing through a crucial phase as one generation has vanished waiting return and rehabilitation in their motherland. “It is our problem and we have to find its solution,. Our community has enough talent to find a solution of the problem and time has come for all organizations and intellectuals of displaced community to come forward and unite under one umbrella to form a common platform, hold discussions to find a solution”, they said.
Prominent speakers were Prof BL Zutshi, president Hindu Education Society Kashmir (HESK), Kuldeep Raina, Chand Ji Bhat, BL Bhat, Prof Veena Pandita, former chairperson , JKBOSE, Dr TK Bhat, AK Raina, Prof AN Sadhu, Hari Krishan Koul, Roshan Lal Raina, Kashmiri Lal , Sanjay Dhar, Dr Ramesh Bhat, Hira Lal Bhat, Vikram Koul and others.
On the occasion floral tributes were paid to D N Kissu former Chairman of the Forum and all martyrs from displaced community and other communities who dedicated their entire life to the welfare and cause of the country. Tributes were paid to then Governor Jagmohan, Balasaheb Thakre, Brig Rajinder Singh security force personnel who sacrificed their lives protecting borders and fought against armed terrorists.
PN Raina general secretary of Forum presented its brief history aims and objectives. Prof GL Koul chief advisor of the Forum read the welcome address and Satish Kissu vice president presented the vote of thanks. PK Raina spokesperson of the Forum conducted the proceedings.
