Arrests made on Harpreet’s disclosures

JAMMU, Feb 1: The Crime Branch Cell of Delhi Police has arrested Sudershan Singh Wazir, chairman Jammu and Kashmir Sikh United Front and his two associates Harjinder Singh Raina and Jagpal Singh for their involvement in Tarlochan Singh Wazir murder case.
Wazir, a prominent political leader and former MLC of National Conference, was murdered in New Delhi on September 3, 2021 and his body was found in a flat.
As per reports, all three including Sudershan Singh Wazir were summoned to Delhi by the Crime Branch Cell of Delhi Police couple of days back and were formally arrested in Tarlochan Singh Wazir murder case.
Sources said they have been booked under Section 120-B of the Indian Penal Code at Delhi.

Their arrest was based on the disclosures of Harpreet Singh son of Parmajeet Singh of Hanuman Road Connaught Place, New Delhi, a prime accused in Tarlochan Singh murder case, who was nabbed by Jammu Police team led by SSP Jammu Chandan Kohli from Channi Himmat on December 11 after an encounter.
The SSP Jammu and other police officials had narrow escape in the encounter.
Harpreet Singh, who was also involved in day-light dacoity at the house of Rakesh Aggarwal alias Kesha Bania in Gandhi Nagar, was later taken to New Delhi by Delhi Police on court orders as he was evading arrest in Tarlochan Singh murder case.
Harpreet was reported to have disclosed the involvement of Sudershan Singh Wazir, Harjinder Singh Raina and Jagpal Singh for conspiring in the murder case.
The Delhi Crime Branch took action after corroborating the evidence given by Harpreet Singh and formally arrested the accused.
Further investigations are on though all accused involved in the murder case have now been arrested, sources said.
Harpreet Singh, it may be mentioned, was absconding since the murder of Tarlochan Singh and was arrested during the encounter here by Jammu Police as Amit Rana in December last year after dacoity at Aggarwal’s house.
Later, his original identity surfaced and he turned out to be main accused in Wazir murder case.
