JAMMU, Mar 28: Three poetry books of noted writer and poetess, Sudha Jain Anjum titled Shayari- Deewangi Aur Zindagi, Teesri Aankh and Fun Aur Shaksiyat were released at a function organised by Department of Urdu University of Jammu at Prof Gian Chand Seminar Hall of the Urdu Department.
The function was presided over by Prof Nadeem Ahmed of Jamia Millia Islamia Delhi. The Presidium was also shared by Prof Reyaz Ahmed HoD Urdu , University of Jammu.
In his address Prof Nadeem Ahmed highlighted the poetry collection both Urdu and Hindi poetry of Sudha JainAnjum and explained the importance and role of Urdu and Hindi poetry in the development of languages. He also complimented Prof Mohammed Reyaz Ahmed , HoD Urdu for organising a book release function in which three poetry collections of Sudha Jain Anjum were released. He said Sudha Jain Anjum is a very good poetess.
In his welcome address Prof Mohammed Reyaz Ahmad HoD Urdu University of Jammu congratulated Sudha Jain Anjum for her books . He said her books are good in content and recalled the role of Sudha in development of Urdu language and literature.
Later a Sham-e-Ghazal was also organised in which the author of the books Sudha Jain Anjum who is also renowned Ghazal singer sung some of the most famous Urdu Ghazals which were appreciated by one and all.
The proceedings of the programme were conducted by Dr Farhat Shamim while vote of thanks was presented by Abdul Rashid Manhas. Besides students, scholars , faculty members and civil society members and prominent citizens also attended the programme.
