JAMMU, Oct 11: Sikh United Front, a body of several Sikh organizations in J&K today strongly criticised BJP Govt for passage anti-farmers bills in the Union Parliament.
An emergency meeting of various Sikh organizations of Jammu Kashmir under the chairmanship of Sudershan Singh Wazir, chairman Sikh United Front J&K was held here today. In the meeting the participants showed their resentment over bills passed in the Parliament of India and strongly condemned the same.
Wazir said that these bills are anti- farmers and pro-corporate Agri- businesses. These anti- farmers’ bills will change the fabric of Country’s Agricultural economy to benefit corporate-traders-nexus and grant the freedom to corporate for hoarding and black-marketing. The process through which bills has been passed is unconstitutional as no debate and discussion has been conducted.
The three farmer’s bill passed by Central Government has put the farmers at the mercy of corporate which clearly indicates that the slogan of `Atam Nirbhar Bharat’ by BJP Government is mere a hollow slogan and nothing else.
“An appeal is made to Prime Minister of India Narinder Modi and Home Minister Amit Shah to grant ex -gratia to the kins of farmers died during the protest in Punjab. Ex-gratia of Rs 10 lakhs and employment to a family member. An appeal is made to Prime Minister and Home Minister of India to withdraw the draconian farmers bills and do justice with the farmers,” Wazir added.
