SUF welcomes fast track verdict on Rasana rape, murder case

JAMMU, June 11: Sikh United Front (SUF) has complimented investigation agency and welcomed the fast track verdict on the much publicized Rasana rape and murder case of minor girl.
Addressing a joint press conference of various Sikh bodies today Sudershan Singh Wazir, chairman of the Front said that the historic verdict in Rasana case is a big blow for those who were bent upon politicizing this heinous crime of rape and murder of the 8-year-old girl child.
Wazir also condemned the brutal murder of a two and half years old girl child in Meerut recently by the savage criminals who have no sense of humanity. He demanded that day today trial should also be conducted against those responsible for this gruesome murder and they should face the death penalty.
He also lauded the role of State Crime Branch for conducting the investigations in a highly professional manner and commended the prosecution wing which projected the case before the designated court.
Wazir called upon the State Government to strictly implement the amendment in RPC by incorporating Section -376 A and B whereby any offence under this Section against a child below 12 years of age will make the culprit to face the death penalty especially in case of rape and sexual abuse of a child below 12 years.
