JAMMU, Aug 20: All Jammu Civil Society Forum (AJCSF) and Dogra Sadar Sabha (DSS) claimed that abrogation of Article 370 and 35-A and restructuring of J&K will end the sufferings which Jammu region has been facing for the last seven decades.
In a handout DSS president, Gulchain Singh Charak, said, now the Government should take measures to safeguard the identity and interests of Dogras on the pattern of Himachal Pradesh.
He also demanded statehood for Jammu and merger of PoJK with India.
Charak also said that Assembly elections should be held in J&K after delimitation and rotation of reserved seats, voting rights to Valmikis and West Pakistan refugees.
He also demanded concerted efforts for the development of tourism, education and industrial sector of Jammu region which has been immensely suffered regional discrimination.
DSS president also demanded lifting of all the restrictions on peaceful citizens of Jammu region and release all the activists including political who have been detained these days.
