Sufiyasm of Kashmir teaches us tolerance: PM

SRINAGAR :  Declaring that India was incomplete without Kashmiriyat, Prime Minister Narendra Modi today said if anyone wants to learn tolerance he should learn it from Kashmir.
India is incomplete without Kashmiriyat. If anyone wants to learn tolerance, he should learn from Kashmir. The sufiyasm in Kashmir teaches us tolerance and humanity, he said at a public meeting at S K stadium here.
Kashmiriyat is Aan Baan Shaan of India, he said adding Insaan Kitna be badal Jaya, Chand per be Makan Banaya, laiken Insanayat kai bena kuch be agay nahe badsakta hai. (how much a human will change, even if he construct a house on moon, but without humanity he cannot move forward).     I salute the people of Jammu and Kashmir who participated in large numbers in Parliament and Assembly elections and strengthen the democracy,” the PM said.     “The youth from Kashmir have proven their mettle in various fields, be it IAS, IIT, IIM. Youth from Kashmir are at the top in various comparative examinations. And I admire the talent in the youth of Kashmir,” he said.     “There are various sectors by which we can generate employment. Tourism is the main attraction in Kashmir. 1.75 crore Indians go abroad on holidays. If we improve the infrastructure, can?t we at least attract 5 per cent of these people to Kashmir. Saffron grown in Kashmir is the finest in the world, so we need to develop a plan to package it and market  internationally. Similarly, apples from Kashmir are a famous. So we need to device infrastructure to market them internationally,” the PM said.      “Our Mantra is ‘Sabka Saath, Sabka Vikas’ and that’s the reason I want all corners of India to be with us. Indians used to wish to come to Kashmir, it was a dream for them. People used to save money to visit Kashmir in the past. I want to bring those days back when everyone will look forward to visit Kashmir,” he said.
“We have to follow the foot step of Vajpaiji. I don?t need any advice from anyone in the world. Vajpai’s has given a mantra for Kashmir -Kashmiriat, Jamorihat, Insinayat,” he said. (UNI)
