NEW DELHI, Sept 9: Sugar prices fell by Rs 20 per quintal here today following heavy stocks position triggered by ample supply from mills against current demand.
Marketmen said huge stocks position on regular supply against restricted buying by stockist and bulk consumers mainly pulled down sweetener prices.
Sugar ready M-30 and S-30 prices moved down from Rs 3150-3280 and Rs 3140-3270 to Rs 3140-3260 and Rs 3130-3250, showing a loss of Rs 20 per quintal.
Similarly, mill delivery M-30 and S-30 prices dropped to settle at Rs 2950-3145 and Rs 2940-3125 instead of Rs 2950-3155 and Rs 2940-3130 per quintal.
Among millgate section, sugar Mawana, Sakoti, Budhana, Dorala and Simbholi slipped by Rs 15 each to Rs 3065, Rs 2975, Rs 3120, Rs 3040 and Rs 3130 per quintal, respectively.
Prices of Kinoni, Asmoli and Khatauli fell by Rs 10 each to Rs 3145, Rs 3125 and Rs 3050 per quintal.

Sugar mill gate (including duty): Mawana 3065, Kinnoni 3,145, Asmoli 3,125, Dorala 3,040, Budhana 3,120, Thanabhavan 3,090, Dhanora 3,070, Simbholi 3,130, Modi Nagar 3,140, Khatuli 3,050, Dhampur 3,015, Ramala 2,990, Bulandshar 2,965, Anupshar 2,970, Baghpat 3,000, Morna 3,000, Sakoti 2,975, Chandpur 2,960, Amroha 3,060 and Nazibabad 2970.
