KISHTWAR, May 11: Police thwarted a suicide attempt here today.
As per police sources, a team from Police Station Kishtwar led by SHO Inspector Abid Bukhari along with lady cops rescued a woman, who reached near river Chenab to commit suicide. The rescued lady was identified as Fatima Begum, wife of Mudasser Hussain Sheikh, a resident of Huller District Kishtwar.
Kishtwar Police has initiated an enquiry into the matter to ascertain the facts behind this suicide attempt.
