REASI, Nov 26: A case of apparent suicide by a man in village Sangar Mohare Kharabat in Pouni, has turned out to be a murder by wife and brother of the deceased, who was strangulated to death on July 6, 2013.
The accused, namely Kamlesh (wife of the deceased) and Raj Singh (brother of the deceased), have confessed their crime of committing the murder and Police has arrested the duo.
The case took new turn after FSL and Post mortem report as well as Query report of Medical Officer, established that the death was caused due to forcible closure of mouth and nose and tying the ligature on neck resulting in asphyxia.
On this the Inquest proceeding U/S 174 Cr PC was converted into case FIR No 15/2015 U/S 302/ RPC, at Police Station Ransoo. During investigation, Special Investigation Team, headed by Dy SP Hqrs succeeded in solving the case.
On 06.08.2013, information was received at PP Shiv-Khori that one person namely Gurmeet Singh, son of Suram Singh of Sangar Mohare Kharabat, had committed suicide by hanging himself at his home. To ascertain the cause of death an inquest proceeding U/s 174 Cr.PC. was initiated at P/S Ransoo.
Meanwhile, a young man committed suicide by consuming some poisonous substance at his residence in Gari, here today. The deceased was identified as Jamal Din (38), son of Gh Mohd, resident of Jamslan and putting up at Garhi. Cause behind the extreme step could not be ascertained.
