Sukhnandan demands opening of veterinary hospitals, sub centers

JAMMU, Mar 27: Former Minister and senior BJP leader, Ch Sukhnandan has expressed concern over the closure of Veterinary sub centers and hospitals in the Jammu region due to lock down with the result people whose cattle and sheep are sick face problems in getting them medically examined.
The BJP leader said that he has sent a SMS to Chief Secretary of the UT in this regard and also took up the issue with District Development Commissioner, Jammu. “The DC asked me to name the Hospital or Sub Center which is closed and informed her that all veterinary hospital and sub centers are closed in Jammu with the result people whose cattle are ill, face problems in getting them examined”.
He said the hospitals for the treatment of human beings are open but what about the pet animals. He demanded that the Government should order opening of all veterinary sub centers and hospitals on the pattern of allopathic and Ayurvedic hospitals and name them under essential services. He said the staff working in these hospitals and sub centers should be asked to remain present in the hospitals and sub centers as per routine.
