JAMMU, Aug 22: Choudhary Sukhnandan (Chairman) Panchayati Raj JKUT today listened the problems of all Sarpanches and Panches of Khour Constituceny at Mattoo along with the former MLA Rajeev Sharma, ex district president, Manmohan Singh, and Mandal president , Sukhdev Singh.
Sarpanches and Panches highlighted the problems of their respective areas. Main problem which was raised by the Sarpanchs was lack of communication between the officers and the elected representatives which is also called as third Piller of democracy and MGNREGA liability was also one of the burning issues raised in the meeting.
Roads of the area are in bad condition due to which people were very angry against the attitude of administration.
Ch.Sukhnandan listened all the problems raised by Panches and Sarpanches. He assured the gathering that the matter will be taken up to the right platform soon. He also added that he will take up the issues with the Lieutenant Governor, Manoj Sinha and discuss all the issues with him. He said that every step should be taken to strengthen the grass root democracy in the J&K and exuded confidence that all the problems will be solved soon.
During the meeting SOPs and guidelines of COVID -19 were followed in letter and sprit by maintaining social distancing.
