UDHAMPUR, Jan 20: Aggrieved over worst condition of Sulgar to Dalsar Khass road, locals of Dalsar village in Chenani tehsil today held a strong protest demonstration against PMGSY Department.
The protesting villagers raised slogans against the PMGSY Department and demanded immediate repair and black topping of the road.
“Due to worst condition of this 19- km long road, it is almost impossible to ply vehicles on this stretch, which is filled with big potholes while a big boulder on the road near village Gurlang, about four kms from Ramnagar, has virtually blocked this road,” said the villagers who added that because of extremely poor condition of this road, they were not able to shift pregnant women and sick elderly persons to Sub District Hospital Chenani or District Hospital Udhampur.
Work on this road was started in ending 2018, for which Rs 1418, 87 lakhs had been sanctioned under PMGSY but the said work was not completed till date. the matter was brought into the notice of local representatives and Government administration but the road work is still incomplete.
