Sunil holds public meeting at Gool

GOOL (RAMBAN), Aug  11: Minister of State for Revenue and PWD(R&B) Sunil Sharma convened a public meeting at Gool wherein people from all sections of the society participated and put forth their long pending demands.
The charter of demands presented by the local people mainly included fulfillment of vacancies in sub-district hospital, Government Degree College and other educational institutions, up-gradation including widening, macadamisation or black-topping of roads and construction of roads in left out hamlets, crop damage compensation, electrification of left out areas, road compensation, development of tourist sites, creation of Gool Development Authority, employment of local youth in railways, military and para military forces and district status to Sub-Division, Gool.
Responding to their demands, the Minister assured the people that their genuine demands would be mitigated in a time bound manner.
The Minister appealed the locals to avail maximum benefit of various welfare schemes of the State and Centre Governments. He also announced black topping of Gool bazaar road stretch and restoration of various other village roads damaged due to intensive rain and landslides.
The Minister also chaired the meeting of the district officers at Tourist Banglow, Gool wherein he directed all the officers for the  immediate redressal of the grievances of local people. He directed the Executive Engineer PWD(R&B) to physically verify the condition of roads of Tungali- Chaper, Moila – Gagarsula and Gundi -Gagarsula and the status of school buildings at Mahakund, Thatharka and Gagarsula.
He directed the Executive Engineer PMGSY to complete the Gool -Dheda road as early as possible and action be initiated against the contractor for unnecessary delay. He also directed the concerned engineers of PWD to stay at Gool till the completion of all plans, physical verifications of roads and buildings besides the new plan of those road stretches which are over loaded and may not be covered under the district plan.
The Minister directed the Executive Engineer, PDD for making plan of the uncovered and un electrified areas and for the action against those concerned employees whose works is not satisfactory.
