KISHTWAR, Sept 9: Former Minister for PDD and MLA from Kishtwar Constituency Sunil Kumar Sharma has kick started the construction work of 2.5 kilometers link road from Kundgwari to Sheikhpura via Balmandar under NABARD’S scheme with an estimated cost of Rs 3 crore.
While speaking on the occasion, MLA said that it was a long pending demand of people of the area to get connected with main road for all weather connectivity and with the inauguration of this road the concerned villages will have a sigh of relief forever.
“We have proved in terms of road connectivity throughout the State in general and in Kishtwar constituency particularly, and it is an established fact now that we have reached the heights and covered the length and breadth of our whole district by ending the dark era of misery and helplessness with the light of development”, Sharma added.
He said that above 100 roads have been constructed and maintained during the tenure throughout the constituency and many more are in pipeline.
“It was not an easy task for us to get things operationalised on ground it needed a lot of hard work, planning and utmost dedication which we have been strategizing from the day one”, he added.
