Sunil Sharma visits Pochhal, takes stock of public grievances

KISHTWAR : Minister of State for Transport and PWD (R&B), Sunil Kumar Sharma, today visited Pochhal and took stock of the problems  faced by  the people.

DDC Kishtwar Ghulam Nabi Balwan, SSP  Sandeep Wazir, XEN PWD Maninder Kumar,CPO Kishtwar Yasir Balwan, DSHO Kishtwar Dr. Younas Zargar besides other  officers of various departments were present on the occasion.

People apprised the Minister with their demands pertaining to water and Power supply construction of pacca paths and tile work, construction of lanes and drains, Upgradation of existing transformers and black topping of various roads.

Responding to the projected demands Minister directed the concerned departments to take requisite steps to redress the issues projected by the people in time bound manner. He asked the departments to work in tandem to ensure prompt service delivery and directed the concerned officers to ensure regular field visits to take stock of problems being faced by the common masses and redress them.

He informed the people that various new projects have been taken up  in the area to provide better amenities to the people and develop tourism  infrastructure   and allied facilities .

Later the Minister also visited Demblan and inspected the steps taken to augment the water supply in the area.

He also inaugurated Link Road connecting Upper Pochhal to Camp ground Lower Pochhal, costing Rs 2.37 crore, thus fulfilling long pending demand of the locals.
